Subject: White, Male, 29
The subject is in his boyhood home, in his bedroom. His mother is reading a novel about a young man's coming of age. The scene wherein the main character loses his virginity prompts the subject's mother to ask him about his own first time. The subject is mortified, and answers only in general terms, making observations on what he imagines are common experiences for young men, while trying not to acknowledge that he has ever had sex, though he is almost thirty years old.
The subject's sister is in her room, next door to his. She is sick to her stomach.
The subject becomes extremely thirsty. Next to his bed he finds a milk jug full of water. He drinks all of it, and is still thirsty. He goes into the bathroom to refill the jug in the bathtub. While filling the jug, he notices some remnants of his sister's puke settled at the bottom of the toilet. Disgusted, he flushes it.
Barf starts coming out of the bathtub faucet. The subject dumps the jug out and tries again to refill it, expecting clean water to start flowing momentarily. Clean water does not. The puke-water gets chunkier and chunkier. The chunks themselves are cleaner though. In not too long, the faucet is gushing pure, undigested stew, with intact chunks of sliced potato.
The subject awakens thirsty.
