Tips on French Use of Prophylactics

Presumably because the SSL group, makers of Durex condoms, wants to see Europe once again overrun with Germans, they package their scumbags with instructions in English, French, Spanish and Portugese. These are not word-for-word translations, but are instead individually tailored to the different regions in which they will be read.

For example, in English, the first and most important bit of advice is "do not use oil-based lubricants, such as petroleum jelly or oil-based products."

In French, this same admonition cites one such unsuitable household lubricant by name. The French instructions read: "Ne jamais utiliser de lubrifiants à base d'huile tels que ... beurre."

We shit you not. For the rest of our lives now, a distinctly unappetizing image will flicker in our minds whenever we hear someone say "those French put butter on everything."
